PCI has played an instrumental role in assisting the district in the hiring of the design team, and have worked together in the development of the program and conceptual design options approved by the BSD board. PCI issued the Request for Proposal for the Construction Manager and led the team through the selection process following all VT Title 16 bid laws. PCI also developed the owners “soft” cost budget. PCI also acts as the project lead for the owners Environmental Team and heads the $20M environmental cleanup efforts.
Champlain College McDonald Hall

Project Overview
PCI served as the Owner's Representative overseeing the complete renovation of Champlain Colleges’ historic McDonald Hall. Housing thirty-five student dorms, this facility required extensive accessibility upgrades, and PCI worked closely with the Architectural/Design team, Construction Manager and Owner to see this project come to a successful completion.
Maple Run Unified School District ESSER Upgrades

PCI was retained by the Maple Run Unified School District to conduct a district wide facilities condition assessment of their five schools for the purpose of developing a long-term capital plan to address the district's capital needs. Following the completion of the MRUSD master plan, PCI has acted as the Project Manager overseeing multiple completed and ongoing projects including a $5.7M Safety & Security upgrade and addition at BFA High School, and $2m art and music classroom addition at Fairfield Center School. PCI is currently overseeing a $5.5m ESSSER funded project overseeing work in three schools being phased over two construction seasons. The condition assessment prepared by PCI was instrumental in the ESSER approval process.
North Country Supervisory Union: Charleston Elementary School EVT IAQ and Share Grant

PCI was brought in to serve as the Owner’s Project Manager for North Country Supervisory Union’s HVAC project at Charleston Elementary School. PCI worked with the Owner in identifying and hiring contractors, ordering the new HVAC system/pellet boilers, and ensuring the project stayed on track and within budget.
Middlebury Union High School Cafeteria

Marty Spaulding has been brought on to oversee the 1959 era Middlebury Union High School Kitchen & Cafeteria Project. The kitchen needs a complete renovation including new electrical and plumbing infrastructure as well as new equipment. The goal is to re-envision the dining experience at the school with open display cooking and stations vs. lines. The cafeteria will offer a variety of seating options including booths, high-top tables and bar areas. Preliminary cost opinions estimate the value of the construction at $2 million.
FAIRFIELD CENTER SCHOOL, ART AND MUSIC ADDITION

PCI served as Project Manager of the addition of new art, music, and intervention rooms at Fairfield Center School of the Maple Run Unified School District. This project expanded the spaces available in the school and created new dedicated spaces for the arts. This project also included newly paved parking lots and sidewalks. Additionally, modern and code compliant fire alarms were installed throughout the school along with a new electrical service. Thanks to the project team, this project was completed on time and under budget. Overall, this project was well executed with a very positive experience working with the Owner.
BFA SAFETY AND SECURITY UPGRADES: PHASE 1

PCI served as Project Manager of the Bellows Free Academy Saint Albans safety and security upgrade. The largest part of this project was the addition of the connector that brings the once separate buildings together. This addition fundamentally changes the circulation and security of the school. Other upgrades included new electrical services, extensive rerouting of public and private utilities, new sprinkler services and coverage, new parking lots, and new student drop off areas. This project was completed on time and under budget.
WINOOSKI SCHOOL DISTRICT, HVAC UPGRADE

Serving as Owner's Project Manager for the final phase of a major HVAC upgrade, PCI provided comprehensive start-to-finish services including mechanical assessment, bid & contract administration, and scope verification. We will be providing progress & compliance inspections on behalf of the owner throughout the construction phase.
CHAMPLAIN COLLEGE, WHITING HALL

PCI served as Owner's Representative / Clerk of the Works for restoration of an 1877 historic building. This Project upgraded the dormitory to have high-speed internet and cable, a common kitchen, quiet study areas, resident lounge, and high-efficiency heating and cooling.
PCI also served as Owner's Representative / Clerk-of-the-Works, assistance with value engineering, progress inspections, requisition review and processing, permit review and close-out.
The team successfully met the challenge of preserving the historical integrity of the building.
CHAMPLAIN COLLEGE, BUTLER & VALCOUR HALLS

Serving as Owner's Representative / Clerk of the Works for construction of two new dormitories for Champlain College. Project will total over 57,000 square feet and will provide an additional 180 beds of state-of-the-art student housing. Services include plan review, bid review, value-management, site inspections, progress reports, requisition review, general oversight.
WINOOSKI SCHOOL BATHROOM RENOVATION

When the Winooski School District agreed to host a new Head Start pre-school at their main campus, they needed to transform a worn and tired multi-purpose room into a bright, clean, vibrant space for this important new program.
They called on Peterson Consulting to plan and manage work that included added new accessible bathrooms and exterior windows.
Plan and budget review, bid package and bid administration, contract administration and progress inspections, permitting the project close-out.
